An affiliation of aikido dojos in Australia under the guidance of Shimamoto Katsuyuki Shihan 8th Dan of the Toyonaka Shosenji Dojo in Osaka, Japan.
ABOUT US
The name Aikido Shoryukai Australia was approved in 2022 by Katsuyuki Shimamoto 8 Dan Shihan of Aikido Toyonaka Shosenji Dojo in Osaka.

This came after several discussions with Shimamoto Shihan which concluded with him kindly granting permission to establish a federation of Australian dojos, similar to other groups in Europe, and act as his representatives in Australia. This brought some formality to our long standing relationship with Shimamoto Sensei.
​
The Technical Director of Aikido Shoryukai Australia is David Kolb 6 Dan.
